In 1981 Daniel Field founded the very first Organic and Mineral Hairdressing Salon in the world which he named Daniel Field Organic and Mineral Hairdressing. Over the next seven years he opened seven further salons, situated all over London. After 21 years in the salon business Daniel passed his chain over to his then loyal staff, keeping just one salon near his home. Daniels' wife Julie continues to run Daniel Field Organic and Mineral Hairdressing Barnet, believed to be North London's busiest and most caring hair salon. Daniel as an individual, is considered one of the leading hairdressers and colour correction specialist in the world. After 34 years he still makes himself available two days a week at his Barnet Salon and three days a week at his private hair studio nearby.

Daniel is a world renowned hair product researcher and formulator and it was he who back in 1981 set about creating the concept now known as 'Organic and Mineral Haircare/colouring. This shift affected both professional salon and home care products mainly from the 1990's onwards. Nowadays Daniel is still focussed on new hair product development and continues to develop his unique salon and home hair care and colour product formulations. The emphasis on safety and purity with the highest performance. Daniel leads his chemist teams both here in the United Kingdom and in the United States.

Daniel Field - the environmentalist
In 1987 Daniel co-founded The Ark Environmental Foundation with support from his celebrity clients including Paul and Linda McCartney and many others. Daniel is a well known global environmentalist and Ark were the original architects of the concepts of both 'The Sustainable Consumer' and 'The Green Supermarket Revolution'. Daniel chaired the organisation for many years. In turn Planet Ark in Australia was set up by celebrity tennis player Pat Cash and the environmental campaigner, Jon Dee. Jon, a global environmental player runs Planet Ark today and works with Thomson Reuters to provide the latest World Environmental News as well as continuing to mount many successful Environmental Campaigns in Australia and beyond.

"There are a number of salons and even a website that appears to be connected to me and my work. Even 15 minutes from my Barnet salon is another salon in Crouch End London N8 calling itself Daniel Field Organic and Mineral Hairdressing.
It is not genuine, it does not represent us and they do not even use my Daniel Field products. We understand there are also many other false Daniel Field salons even as far away as Malta and Italy. We have no other salons other than Daniel Field salon based in Barnet, North London."

Due to a most serious situation, the name, 'Daniel Field Organic and Mineral Hairdressing' passed from my control and now legally resides with a Ms Jane Redfern of KFV Cosmetics Ltd, PO Box 591, Rotherham, S66 3WX This now means KFV Cosmetics Ltd can sell any product they like under the name 'Daniel Field Organic and Mineral Hairdressing'. Their website is called www.danielfield.com Extreme market confusion exists surrounding all the products sold by KFV Cosmetics Ltd. Their operation has no connection and is not endorced by me or my organisation in any way. Their products are not mine, I know nothing about these products and obviously I do not recommend them. We are informed these products do not conform to my philosophies. I have also been advised by The Vegan Society that KFV Cosmetics Ltd are not registered with them and they are not formulated with vegans in mind.
